展览 (zhǎnlǎn) means “to put on display” or “to exhibit”. It is an HSK 5 word.
Say it zhǎnlǎn: zhǎn with a 3rd tone, then lǎn with a 3rd tone. In speech it sounds like zhánlǎn. When two third tones meet, the first one rises into a second tone. You still write it with two third tones. Press Listen at the top of this page to hear it, or Slowly to hear each tone clearly.
In Traditional characters, used in Taiwan and Hong Kong, 展览 is written 展覽. The pronunciation is the same.
Use 个 (gè) or 次 (cì). For example, one to put on display is 一个展览 (yí ge zhǎnlǎn).
Add a Chinese (Simplified) pinyin keyboard to your phone or computer, type zhanlan with no tone marks or spaces, then choose 展览 from the suggestions. Typing zhanlan into this dictionary’s search box finds it too.
